POSITION DESCRIPTION
About the position
We are looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer (PHP) with 1+ years of experience in web development.
You will be part of the engineering team developing the web products on the technology stack: Symfony, Laravel, Yii2, Craft CMS, October CMS, WordPress CMS. You’ll report directly to the Founder and help the team fulfil technical, operational, and business requirements by putting yourself in the trenches. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and delivering great software on time.
What will you do/ learn as a Full-Stack Developer
- Design, architect, implement, integrate, deploy and monitor various frontend and backend components.
- Create the first version of our platform.
- Develop good quality code and operational standards.
- Improve your JavaScript skills and learn more about Cloud Solutions.
Does it sound like you?
Then, you should have:
- Experience in PHP Framework (Laravel/ Symfony or Yii2) or CMS (Craft/ October/ WordPress).
- Ability to work 30+ hours/week.
- 1+ years professional experience with JavaScript.
- Experience with Git version control and knowledge of GitFlow.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with all aspects of designing, developing, testing, deploying and monitoring software;
- Familiar with Linux, Git (a must), Node.js (a must), AWS Lambdas and PostgreSQL;
- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, without burning out;
- Good verbal and written communication;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ideally Character
- A student pursuing a degree or above qualification in Computer Science, Software engineering, Math or related professions.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision as well as in a team structure.
- You are a self-starter, a problem solver and you take responsibility.
- You take initiative, but also know when to consult.
- You are open-minded and approachable.
