Junior UX/UI Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboration: Work closely with creative leadership, project managers, designers, and developers to translate business requirements into design solutions.
• Wireframing & Prototyping: Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups to visualize design concepts.
• Visual Design: Develop visually appealing UI designs that align with brand guidelines and ensure a a seamless user experience. Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, icons, and illustrations).
• Brand Identity Design: Assist in creating and maintaining cohesive brand identity elements, including logos, typography, color palettes, and visual guidelines.
• Design Systems: Maintain and contribute to our design system to ensure scalability and consistency across products.
• Optimisation: Optimize interfaces for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility and accessibility standards (WCAG AA).
• Innovation: Stay updated on design trends, tools, and best practices, bringing fresh ideas to the team.
• Time management: Proactively report to our internal Project Manager and manage your schedule to ensure all deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and accessibility standards.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.
• Good time-management skills.

Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and ability to implement user-centric design solutions.
• Knowledge of responsive and mobile-first design principles, with an emphasis on optimizing user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
• Have particular attention to detail and to the execution of quality work.
• You can take charge of small tasks independently, and take on bigger jobs with little supervision.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in 1:1 and group meetings, both internal and client facing.
• Ability to discuss and explain design options.
• Interested in learning new skills and keeping up to date with best practices and emerging trends in user experience design and user interface.
• Knowledge of basic front-end development (HTML/CSS) is a plus.
